NanoBooster Whips
So you have taken the
plunge and dropped your hard earned dough on one of Gordon Smith’s marvelous
toys, the NanoBooster. Well you still
need the hoses to connect your supply cylinder to your scuba cylinder. That’s where TMIShop comes in. We make a nice little line of fill whips, please check the link to that page on the frame to
your left. Combining our deluxe fill
whip kit with the additional parts needed to interface with the NanoBooster
makes for a very comprehensive gas transfer system that any diver will wet his
or her pants over. Our deluxe fill whip
kit is built with quick disconnects that allow fast inlet connections from
either a commercial oxygen or inert gas cylinder or a scuba DIN cylinder. This same QD can be fitted to the outlet of
the NanoBooster (the outlet side of the NanoBooster is marked with a “o”). Then with
just an extension line allows the inlet side to be fitted to the same sources
(O2, Inert, or Scuba DIN). Allow me to
illustrate with pictures.
What you see in this picture
is the entire Deluxe kit with the NanoBooster and the
additional parts necessary to use it.
Starting at the left
of the pic are the three adaptors that come with the Deluxe
kit, O2, Inert, and scuba. Those adaptors come with male QD’s.
The coiled whip extension comes with 7 feet of hose and a male QD on one end
and a Female QD on the other. The
NanoBooster comes with ¼ NPT female ports on the high pressure cylinder for
input and output. This is the “coppertop”
part of the booster. We provide a Female
QD and it will thread into the inlet side of the booster. We also provide a Male QD that will thread
into the outlet side of the booster. The
rest of the deluxe kit is seen on the right side ot the pic. Notice
that the female end of the deluxe whip joins to the 3 adaptors on the left side
of the pic, making the full deluxe kit. So
the additional parts needed for the booster are: a 7foot extention,
and one male QD and one Female QD. As
seen below.

Here are the parts
that come with the deluxe kit.

So, if you have
purchased a NanoBooster, the parts you need to get from us are the Deluxe whip kit, and the NanoBooster upgrade. You must decide whether you want a digital
gauge, or analog, and if analog whether 2.5 or 4in gauge face. Shown above is the 2.5in analog.
Heres what you get.

kinda hard to
see in this pic but the “coppertop” is clearly marked with an (I) for inlet and
an (O) for outlet. This illustration
shows where the female and male QD’s get fitted. Use a couple inches of Teflon tape when you
thread these in but be sure you start the tape a thread or so back from the
end. The booster is sensitive to
particles of Teflon tape getting into the reed valves. Tighten them snug and test for leaks after
you pressurize the system, even a small leak can degrade performance of this
size booster.
